Nicole Baker

Registered Massage Therapist

Hello! I’m Nicole.

I became a Registered Massage Therapist in 2013 and haven’t looked back since. After graduating from West Coast College of Massage Therapy, I practiced in downtown Vancouver for seven years. I have since made my way to Victoria and am grateful to call this magical city home.

There are many RMTs out there to serve you, and I believe that finding the right fit is critical for an impactful therapeutic relationship. Whether you are a pro athlete, recovering from a mastectomy, pregnant, on your postpartum journey, or anywhere in between, I would love to help you take your health back into your hands, eliminate pain, and move with ease. I believe the mind and body are highly connected and my aim is for you to leave our treatment sessions feeling better as a whole than when you arrived.

  • I integrate several treatment techniques including Swedish massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Deep Tissue massage, and Joint Mobilizations. I take particular interest in helping people who suffer with symptoms related to headaches, TMJ dysfunction, running, pregnancy and postpartum, and women who have had mastectomies, both recent and past.

In combination with my massage practice, I have worked as a T.A and clinic instructor at both WCCMT and Langara College within the massage therapy programs. I have also joined Eryn Price, founder of The Mastectomy Guide, as support to help train RMTs to bridge the gap in people’s recovery after chest/breast surgery.

When exciting opportunities collide with the use of my skill set, I am the first to jump on unique experiences. I have volunteered with BC Bike Race, TED talks in Vancouver, BC Women’s Hospital, The Ride to Conquer Cancer, Canuck Place Children’s Hospice, Vancouver Triathlon, Whistler Gran Fondo, George Pearson Centre, and Canuck Place Adventure Race.

When not working, you’ll probably find me chasing my young son and dog (known for his mohawk/mullet in the summers) down by the ocean. If I’m not by the water, I’ll be hiking through the forest or making something new and tasty in the kitchen!

  • -TMJ Continuing Education

    - Level 1 and 2 of The Mastectomy Guide’s breast and chest surgery training

  • Riding my bike! We are so lucky in Victoria to have endless bike trails and paths that can take us to so many stunning places. Everything is better on a bike, it makes you feel like a kid again :)

  • Cooking a new recipe out of some of my favourite cookbooks: Love and Lemons Everyday, Oh She Glows, and Half Baked Harvest are my top 3!

Elspeth Finlay

Registered Massage Therapist

Hi, I’m Elspeth.

I became an RMT because I'm fascinated with helping people transform how they feel and perform.

I know how frustrating it is to be limited by recurring injuries or chronic stress. I love how effective good, individualized care can be in helping to regain confidence and break the cycle of pain and tension.

My treatment style could be described as interactive, focused and intuitive. I aim to create an environment where each client feels at ease and truly listened to.

Appointments with me usually involve movement, joint mobilizations and slow, sustained holds on targeted areas. While treatment can sometimes elicit strong sensations, I make sure to always work within the range of what feels safe and comfortable for each person.

Renee Tong

Registered Massage Therapist

I always knew growing up that I wanted to learn about the body. I was fascinated with what humans are physically capable of and how the body can adapt to change. I graduated from UWO with a kinesiology degree and continued on to Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy for more education which included clinical placements in sports, palliative, seniors, pregnancy, and stroke recovery settings.

Interacting with patients and trying to uncover the factors in their discomfort are what I enjoy most about being an RMT. I use a range of assessment and massage techniques to care for every person and do not rely solely on deep pressure. I am a big believer in movement and will incorporate it into my treatments as well as the self care afterwards.
